26.04.2026 Dull vs Dorosz – One evening, two perspectives

How does power work in our everyday lives? Two weeks after the elections, we are preparing for a special evening at Inga: not a traditional book launch, but a conversation where literature and political analysis meet.

David Dorosz’s new novel, Where The Orphans Of The Power Die, is a political thriller — and also a literary indictment of the NER: the story of a system that ultimately turns everyone into orphans.

During the evening, Szabolcs Dull and David Dorosz will use the novel’s story as a starting point to examine the system’s toughest questions: how power works in everyday life, what mechanisms keep it in place, and what literature can sometimes reveal with unique precision. It will be an evening where political analysis and storytelling combine to help us understand the era in which we live.

“I would make Dorosz’s books compulsory reading in secondary-school history lessons,” said Ott Anna earlier about the author’s work.

That evening, we will try to explore why: how a novel can speak about the workings of the system, the nature of power, and the shared traumas of the past decades.

An evening about the secrets of the NER, the workings of power, and what only literature can sometimes say out loud.
